I need to reinstall my QuarkXPress upgrade, but I don't want to reinstall all my previous versions of QuarkXPress. What can I do?
The QuarkXPress Updater becomes serialized the first time you use it. Once you do this, it is possible to use the Updater program as an Installer program.
1. Disable all virus checkers, screen savers, and other INITs. Do this by moving the files from the System Folder onto your desktop.
2. Restart your Macintosh.
3. Insert your QuarkXPress Program Disk 1 Updater disk into an available disk drive.
4. Double-click on the disk icon; the QuarkXPress Updater icon is displayed.
5. Double-click on the QuarkXPress Updater icon to launch it.
6. The following message is displayed: "To begin updating QuarkXPress, click OK." You will be asked to locate your current version of QuarkXPress." Do not click OK or QUIT.
7. Hold down the Option key and click OK.
8. At this point, the following message is displayed: "Install QuarkXPress As." Follow the instructions displayed on screen to complete the installation process.
